Sandra S. Howe, 63, of Ankeny, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Sue Howe, 63, of Ankeny, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, with Pastor Ronald D. Myers officiating.

Sandra Sue Howe was born Sept. 21, 1944, in Fort Madison, to Robert J. and Georgia F. (Hirstine) Heidbreder Sr. She was a graduate of Fort Madison High School. She married William Howe April 3, 1964, in Fort Madison.

She loved being with her family, watching birds and squirrels, crocheting and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her husband, William, of Ankeny; four sons, Mark (Mary) Howe, of Bondurant, Russ (Karen) Howe, of Ankeny, Billy (Robin) Howe Jr., of Nevada, and Chris (Shayla) Howe, of Waukee; one daughter, Nancy Jo (J.B.) Hamilton, of Osceola; seven grandchildren, Michael, Melanie, Ryan, Kyle, Aarin, Lathan and Lydia Howe; four sisters, Nellie Rudd, Dorothy Ramsey, Pat Marshall, all of Fort Madison, and Esther Womack, of Denmark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes or Heart Associations.
