Rose Trevelino, 86, of Story City passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Ames. Burial followed at Merle Hay Mausoleum in Des Moines.

Rose Trevelino was born Aug. 28, 1919 to parents Salvator and Ursula (Mancaso) Barbuto in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married Albert Trevelino Nov. 24, 1945. Rose was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a member of The Altar and Rosary Society. She moved from Blenheim, New Jersey to Roland in 2002.

Survivors include her daughter Arlene (Jerry) Portis of Roland; two sons, Albert Jr. (Mary) Trevelino of Tampa, Florida, and Michael (Faye) Trevelino of Kingstown, Virginia; one brother, Salvator "Sam" Barbuto of Haddon Heights, New Jersey; four grandsons, Brian, Philip, Albert III, and James; and two great-grand-daughters, Gwenyth Mae and Kimberly.

Her parents; three brothers; and one sister preceded her in death.
