Dolores Frette, 77, of Story City passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Boone County Hospital in Boone, Iowa. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will follow at the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2006 after 3 p.m. with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.

Dolores Frette was born August 21, 1928 to parents James and Alta (Keeley) Mackrell in Omaha, Nebraska. She married Bennett Frette November 24, 1948. Dolores was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City and was a clerk a Harlan's Food Mart for 29 years. She loved her family and friends, flowers, wildflowers, shopping, and going out to eat.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Bennett of Story City; two daughters, Debra (Doug) Pospisil of Ames and Denise Johnson of Grimes; one son, James Frette of Story City; four grandchildren, Laura Pospisil, Nick Pospisil, Tanya Hilkert, and Tricia Cunningham; and four great-grandchildren, Alex Hilkert, Luke Hilkert, Gus Trizis, and Madison Trizis.

Her parents preceded her in death.
