Funeral services were held for Jeanette Swenson Friday, April 7, 2006 at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial was at the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Jeanette "Jinnie" Almira Swenson was born Jan. 20, 1906 to parents Martin and Louisa (Anderson) Swenson in Jewell, Iowa. She attended country schools in Hamilton County and taught school for 39 years in Collins and Story City. Jinnie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. She was an avid Scrabble player and liked to do puzzles.

Jinnie passed away April 4, 2006 at Bethany Manor in Story City at 100 years of age.

She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Hill of Story City, and Betty Keiser of Omaha, Nebraska.

Jinnie was preceded in death by her parents.
