Margaret "Peg" Brattebo, 84, 01 Reese Circle, Bellows Falls Vermont, passed away at the Springfield Hospital Monday, Jan 2, 2006, with her family by hei side.

Peg was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont April 3, 1921 the daughter of Hugh and Catherine (O'Brien) Haskins. She was a 1939 graduate of Bellows Falls High School and was very active in class affairs. She went on to work as a poofreader for Rockingham Press and Manning Pubfishing, retiring at the age of 62. She was a line dance instructor at the Bellows Falls Senior Center where she was actively involved and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, her friends and time spent in Florida, and doing picture albums. more than anything, she loved her family and enjoyed taking care of her husband and singing to her grandchildren and teaching them to dance.

On May 19, 1944 at St. Charles Church, Peg married Robert C. Brattebo who was born and brought up in Story City, Iowa. Survivors are her husband, Robert; her daughters, Patricia Lawlor of Barre, Vermont and Susanne Illinworth of Bellows Falls, Vermont; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her Siamese kitten Sumi also survives her.

Calling hours were held Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, Vermont. A funeral mass was celebrated Friday, Jan. 6 at St. Charles Church in Bellows Falls with the burial following in St. Peters Cemetery, Walpole, New Hampshire.
