THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, December 12, 2007.

Bernice M. Kriegler, 86, of Story City and formerly of Omaha, Neb., and Des Moines, died Monday, Dec. 10. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Holy Cross Church in Omaha. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Omaha.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, with a wake service at 7 p.m., at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, in Omaha.

She is survived by two daughters, Delores Demuth and her husband, Craig, of Union, Maine, and Kathleen Kriegler and her partner, Norma Dowell, of Ames; two sisters, Sylvia Semler and Lorraine Peters, both of Omaha; two brothers, Lavern Smidt and his wife, Lillian, and Willard Smidt and his wife, Karen, all of Omaha; one sister-in-law, Goldie Smidt, of Omaha; one grandson, Jordan Kriegler, of Ames; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and her son, Paul J. Kriegler.

Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak and Cutler Mortuaries of Omaha is in charge of arrangements.
