THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, December 14, 2007.

Lynn E. Beach, 66, of Ames, died Thursday, Dec. 13, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Lynn E. Beach was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Ames, to Roy and Evelyn (Mesenbrink) DeMoss Sr. She graduated from Ames High School in 1960. She completed the legal secretary program through A.I.B. and was employed at the Iowa Department of Transportation. She married Larry Beach July 22, 1961. Together, they raised two daughters. She then worked for the Newbrough law offices, retiring in 2000.

She loved shopping, antiquing, cooking, gardening, sewing and card games.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Beach, of Ames; two daughters, Kimberly Beach, of Ames, and Kristin (Dave) Huss, of Denver, Colo., and their two children, Madison and Mason; two brothers, Roy (Jo Ann) DeMoss Jr., of Ames, and Gary DeMoss, of Des Moines; and one sister, Karen (Steve) Epstein, of Ames.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Stevens Memorial Chapel.
