Janice Perkovich, 58, of Boone, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Central Christian Church in Boone. Burial will be in the Boone Memorial Gardens.

Janice Perkovich was born April 12, 1949, in Boone, the daughter of James and Betty Jean (Bass) Pepper. She graduated from Ames High School in 1967. She married Frank Perkovich on March 29, 1980, in Ames. She was employed by the Iowa Crop Improvement Association in Ames for more than 30 years. She was presently an account clerk. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary in Ames.

She is survived by her husband, Frank, of Boone; a daughter, Jenny Corbin-Wilson, and husband, Richard, of Iowa City; a stepson, Steven Perkovich, of Clyde, Texas; three grandsons, Jacob Howell and Cory Howell, both of Iowa City, and Kenneth Perkovich, of Clyde, Texas; her mother, Betty Pepper, of Ames; one brother, James "Jimmy" Pepper, of Ames; and two sisters, Sandra Henninger, of Delray Beach, Fla., and Cindy Cooper, of Beverly Hills, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall in Boone. The family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The casket will be closed. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
