Kenneth Leroy Matheason, 70, of Story City, died Monday, Oct. 29, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, rural Story City.

Ken Matheason was born June 24, 1937, in Story City, to Albert and Gladys Marie (Clayberg) Matheason. He married Georgette Highland Sept. 5, 1956.

He is survived by his wife, Georgette, of Story City; three daughters, Vicki (Loren) Grove, of Story City, Cathy (Greg) Gerjets, of Story City, and Debbie (Steve) Cornelius, of Story City; one sister, Florence (Gene) Furman, of Story City; three brothers, Arthur Matheason, of Ames, Charles (Ruby) Matheason, of Story City, and Jerry (Bert) Matheason, of Story City; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to John Stoddard Cancer Center at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines
