Lucille Egenes, 94, of Story City, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Services are pending with Soderstrum Funeral Home.

Lucille Marie Jeneva Egenes, 94, of Story City, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Bethany Manor Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Bethany Manor. Cremation will follow the service with burial at a later date in Story City Cemetery.

Lucille Egenes was born Oct. 2, 1913, in McCook, S.D., to Oscar R. and Maude (Cowan) House. She married Johnny S. Egenes July 16, 1938. He died Oct. 23, 1999.

She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine (Art) Anderson, of Randall, Marjorie (Axel) Wibholm, of Dows, and JoyAnn (Ray) Marsh, of Hastings, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; and one sister.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
