AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, October 3, 2007.

Mildred Larrew, 82, of Boone, died Sunday, Sept. 30, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Evangelical Free Church in Boone. Burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

Mildred Jean McNace Larrew was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Boone, the daughter of John and Edna (Allison) McNace. She married Robert Charles Larrew Feb. 14, 1941, in Boone. In earlier years, she worked at the Hawkeye Laundry in Boone and then became a homemaker. The couple lived in California for 14 years and returned to Boone in 1967. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet (Larrew) McNaughton, of Ames; two sons, Steve Larrew and wife, Ann, of Council Bluffs, and Dale Larrew, of Ankeny; three grandchildren, Ben Larrew, of Boone, Melissa (Aric) Castro, of Omaha, Neb., and Annette (Jeff) Arnold, of Bellevue, Neb.; five great-grandchildren, Caden Larrew, of Boone, Anthony, Anna Marie and Myra Castro, of Omaha, Neb., and Zachary Arnold, of Bellevue, Neb.; two sisters, Arlene McNace, of Boone and Belva (Dick) Laidley, of Arvada, Colo.; and one brother, William (Alice) McNace, of Boone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her stepmother, Florence (Conrad) McNace; two brothers; and five stepsisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone. The family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 12:30 p.m. to the time of service Friday, Oct. 5, at the church.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at its discretion.
