Warren Rademacher, 88, of Ames, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A celebration of life will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Aunt Maude's.

Warren Rademacher was born Jan. 23, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Irwin and Hattie Rademacher. He married Dorothy Walker May 17, 1940, in Milwaukee.

He worked with his father at Cream City Casket Company in Milwaukee before moving to Ames in 1954. He founded RB Associates, now known as In-Depth Marketing. He was the president and CEO. He worked in the manufacturer's representative business for over 30 years. Upon retirement, he moved to Bella Vista, Ark. They returned to Ames in 2001, and Dorothy resides in Heartwood House at Northcrest Community.

He was an active church member in Milwaukee, Ames, Omaha and Bella Vista, Ark. He sang in the choirs, quartets and was involved in Stephens Ministry at Bella Vista Community Church. On his return to Ames in 2001, he again was active at Bethesda Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Masons. He loved to play the accordion and piano. He was an accomplished pilot, loving to fly Dorothy anywhere she wanted to go.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rademacher, 91, of Ames; one son, John (Gloria) Rademacher, of Ames; one daughter, JoAnn Sellers, of Japan; grandchildren, Bryan (Rachel) Rademacher and their sons, Adam and Alex, of Ames, Megan (Rademacher) (Nathan) Nicol and their children, Hunter, Kayla and Wyatt, of Ames, Michelle (Sellers) (Rom) Dryden of Tucson, Ariz., Jennifer (Sellers) (Sam) Sell and children, Kristen, Emma and Anna, of Solvang, Calif., and Jim and Kristy Sellers, of Washburn, Mo.; two sisters, Geri Rademacher of Waukesha, Wis., and Louise Johnson, of Phoenix; and her son, Kurt Johnson of Denver, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethesda Lutheran Church or to the American Diabetes Association.

Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames is assisting Warren's family.
