THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, September 25, 2007.

July 30, 1986-Sept. 23, 2007

Nathan Logan Prindle, 21, of Ames, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, to go to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at First Evangelical Free Church of Ames with Pastor David Staff officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Nathan Prindle was born July 30, 1986, in Seattle, Wash., to Scott and Diane Prindle. Diane, Julie and Nate moved to Ames in June 1991. He graduated from Ames High School in 2005 and DMACC in 2007 with an associate arts degree in graphic arts. He was employed at The Sports Page in Ames.

His love of Jesus was demonstrated through his active involvement at both First Evangelical Free Church of Ames and at Hidden Acres Christian Center in Dayton. He had been a counselor at Hidden Acres from 2003 to 2005. He was a carrier for The Tribune for six years. He was an active participant in organized sports and had been competing in disc golf tournaments.

He is survived by his mother, Diane Prindle, of Ames; one sister, Julie Annette Prindle, of Minneapolis; his father, Scott Prindle, of Puyallup, Wash.; one stepsister, Mackenzie Prindle, of Seattle, Wash.; maternal grandparents, Duane and Rita Shinn, of Ames; paternal grandfather, Corliss Prindle, of Wisconsin; aunts and uncles, Joy (Brad) Johnson, of Boone; Linda (Scott) VanderWiel, of Los Alamos, N.M., and their children, Janelle, Jonathan, Micah and Gerrit; and Logan (Gail) Shinn, of Keller, Texas, and their son, Addison, and daughter, Eleanor; and Scott Prindle's four siblings.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lori Thiel.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

He was an organ donor to the Iowa Donor Network.
