THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, September 15, 2007.

Lola V. Forrest, 78, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. A celebration of her life will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at 2807 NE 46th Ave., in Des Moines.

She owned and operated Out of Town Service with her late husband, Bud Forrest, for 25 years. She enjoyed yelling at her grandkids, canning, crafts and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Melvin, Arthur, Billy, Dave, Sandie (James) Brockman, Vallie Stoddard, Robin (Glen) Kendall and Elly (Brian) Westphal; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; daughter, Donna; and granddaughter, Page.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the American Cancer Society.
