THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, September 15, 2007.

Zebedee Matthies, preterm baby boy of Ben and Elizabeth (Osting) Matthies, of Boone, was delivered Monday, Sept. 10. Private family graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 14, in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, with Rev. Dan Solomon officiating.

He is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Kelli Bennett, of Boone, Gary and Marsha Osting, of Ames, and Rich and Cindy Matthies, of Boone; great-grandparents, Ruth Matthies and Dan Doherty, both of Boone, Freda DeWitt, of Ames, and Dean Ober, of Dayton; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Ryan Boon and their daughter Gracie Boon, and Greg Matthies, all of Boone; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred Bennett; great-grandparents, Ann Doherty, Otto Matthies, Tom Osting and Arlene Ober; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.

Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall in Boone was in charge of the arrangements.
