NEVADA - Connie Scott, 60, of Nevada, Iowa died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

Services were held Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, Nevada. Visitation was Monday, September 3, 2007, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Connie was born in Waterloo, Iowa on July 11, 1947 to Sterling and Mary (Roberts) Scott. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1965 and attended Ellsworth Community College. She married David Warner in 1966 and they were married for 8 years. Connie was employed as a Legal Secretary and worked for the Don Newbrough Law Firm in Ames, Iowa and Whitfield and Eddy Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa. She retired in 2005.

She was a member of the Secretary's Club of Des Moines. She enjoyed gardening, old movies, dancing, campfires and journalizing. Connie had a love for her animals and flowers.

Survivors include two daughters: Ginger (Brian) McKee of Champagne, Illinois and Sara (Tim) Shill of Nevada, Iowa and longtime special friend, Al Schaper of Ames; her twin brother, Ron (Roxanne) Scott of Nevada and four grandchildren: Logan and Morgan McKee and Preston and Cameron Shill.

Preceding Connie in death were her parents and one brother, Sterling Robert "Scottie" Scott.
