Aug. 23, 1959-May 10, 2007

William Arthur Hespen, 47, of Ames, died Thursday, May 10, at Boone County Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour.

William Arthur Hespen was born Aug. 23, 1959, in Marshalltown to William Frederick and Elizabeth Gene (Montgomery) Hespen.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Hespen, of Ames; three sisters, Susan Janine Hespen, of Madison, Wis., Nancy Jane Reilly, of Ames, and Sandra Jean Hespen, of Emmettsburg; one brother, Howard Russell Hespen, of Saline, Mich.; one cousin, Ruth Alison Stellwagen, of Glen Ellen, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a younger sister, Laurie Ann Hespen.

He will be greatly missed by his family, who loved him.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
