Harve C. Hennick, 74, 609 Carroll Avenue, died at Mary Greeley hospital at 8:30 a.m. today. He had been a patient since April 1.

Death was caused by thrombosis following surgery. He had been ill for two months.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mr. Hennick was born Oct. 5, 1880, in Story county. He was a farmer for part of his life and was also engaged in the trucking business. He came to Ames in 1923 and retired in 1951.

His marriage to Alta Shearer took place in 1909. She preceded him in death in 1935. He was married to Rosia Escherich in 1941 in Ames. She survives him.

Also surviving are three sons, Cyril, of Oceanside, Calif., Claude, of Ames, Homer of Gilmore City, and a daughter Mrs. Eva Popma, of Dixon, Ill. There are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Hennick is survived by four brothers - William of Nevada, Clarence, of Estherville, Irvin of Maxwell, and Charles, of Cambridge, and by two sisters - Mrs. Nell King and Mrs. Ida Leland, both of Cambridge.
