Former Nevadian Edna Marie Nelson, (nee: Ochampaugh), died February 14, 2007 at a residential care facility in Ozark, Missouri. Alert and cheerful in spite of loss of her vision she would have been celebrating her 103rd birthday on February 23.

Edna and her deceased husband, Ernie, were the original owners of the Bogie Inn, later known as the MaidRite Cafe.

Her survivors are Dr. Stan Nelson, Springfield, MO.; grandsons Steve (Indianola) and John Nelson (Nevada); a niece, Marge Nerison; a nephew, Dean Butler; in addition to five great-grandchildren and her long time closest friend, Doris Williams.

Inurnment will be at a later date in the Nevada Cemetery.
