Brandon Joseph Divis, 21, of Algona, died suddenly Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at his home.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona, with Reverend Steve Turner officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home in Algona.
Brandon Joseph Divis was born Oct. 8, 1985, in Algona, the son of Gary and Angie (Moore) Divis. He grew up in Algona and graduated from Algona High School in 2004. After high school, he worked for the Algona Community School District, the Scoreboard Bar and Grill and most recently Sister Sarah's Restaurant.
Brandon had a vibrant personality and he loved to make people laugh. His family and friends were very important to him along with music and his Honda Accord. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, going to movies and he was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
He is survived by his mother, Angie Divis and her friend Scott Baker of Algona; his father, Gary Divis and his wife Dawn of Belmond; one brother, Zack Divis and his friend Valarie of Algona; his girlfriend, Casey Crail of Algona; his maternal grandparents, Merle and Marilyn Moore of Algona; his paternal grandmother, Lorraine Divis of Algona; three step-brothers, Jeremy, Austin, and Keaton; his god parents, Craig and Nancy Ziesman and Allen and Sharon Divis, and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Divis; his maternal great-grandparents, Irma and Harry Barton and Evelyn Schmidt and Otis Moore, and his paternal great-grandparents, Matilda and Arthur Riedel and Julia and Joseph Divis.
