Catherine Michelle Sargent, 41, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 18, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. She had lived at Kathleen's Care in Emmetsburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames.

Catherine Michelle Sargent was born March 25, 1965, in Ames, the daughter of Lee and Sherry (Taylor) Sargent, of Ames. She attended Ames schools, graduating from Ames High in 1984. She loved meeting new people and animals of all kind.

She is survived by her parents; her paternal grandfather, Warren Sargent and his wife, Velma, of Ames; aunt, Ann (Rob) Samuels, of Saint Louis, Mo.; uncles, Phil (Susan) Sargent and Dan (Pam) Sargent, all of Ames, and Larry Taylor, of Salmon, Idaho; and many precious cousins.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kurt in 1990; paternal grandmother, Margaret Morgan Sargent; maternal grandparents, Beryl and Edith Taylor; and aunt, Mary (Dresser) Taylor of Salmon, Idaho.

Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the church.
