THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, October 6, 2006.

Andrew Julius Christian, 23, of rural Story City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, at his home on the family farm. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will follow at the Roland Cemetery.

Andrew Julius Christian was born July 27, 1983, in Ames, to Edgar and Jaynee Christian. Andrew was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was active in 4-H, FFA and wrestling, and graduated from Roland-Story High School in 2002. Andrew attended Iowa State University for a brief time and was a chef at Cottage on Broad in Story City. Andrew enjoyed playing Frisbee golf, going to movies, listening to music, golfing, cooking, reading and being with friends.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Edgar and Jaynee Christian, of Story City; a brother, Erik Christian, of Story City; his grandmother, Shirley McBride, of Maxwell; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His paternal grandparents, Earl and Lucille Christian; his maternal grandfather, John McBride; and an uncle, John R. McBride, preceded Andrew in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Memorials may be directed to the Story County 4-H, the Roland-Story FFA or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is handling arrangements.
