Alice R. Richeson

NEVADA - Alice R. Richeson, 89, of Nevada, died at her home, September 8, 2006.

Alice was born August 25, 1917 at New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary (Fitzgerald) Croker. After graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1934, she attended Iowa Central Business College for two years. Alice was united in marriage to Rodney Richeson June 24, 1944. Rodney preceded her in death in November of 1991. Alice had worked as a secretary at RH Donnelley in Nevada for 20 years. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. She enjoyed Democratic politics, reading, cheering on the Hawkeyes, and was an avid church attendee.

Alice is survived by a daughter: Debra Perry of Nevada, IA; two sons: David Richeson of Nevada, IA, Jack Richeson of Cleveland, OH; one grandson: Steven Perry of Ames, IA; and two sisters: Mary Problys of Colorado, Springs, CO, and Dolores Croker of Ames, IA.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son: Stephen Richeson in 1967; a brother: John Croker; and 2 sisters: Zelda Dankbar and Zita Noid.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Burial was in the St. James Cemetery in Colo, IA. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
