Virginia West
July 3, 1915 - July 20, 2006
Virginia West, 91, of Edgewood and formerly of Nevada, died Thursday, July 20, following a short illness at St. Luke's Hospital, in Cedar Rapids. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 24, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery, with the Rev. David Burling of Memorial Lutheran Church officiating.

West was born July 3, 1915, in Orchard, the daughter of Carl and Jessie (Thornberg) Larson. She married George West on June 3, 1938, in Mason City.

She is survived by one son, Bruce (Mary Ann) West of Edgewood; one daughter, Penelope (Jack) Peacock of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984; her parents; and one brother.
