May 14, 1932-June 21, 2006
Phyllis Campbell, 74, of the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, died Wednesday, June 21, at the home. The body has been cremated and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 26, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone. Burial will be in the Boone Memorial Gardens.

Phyllis was born on May 14, 1932, in Ames, the daughter of Frank and Pearl (Fowles) Trickle. She married Carrol Campbell Oct. 5, 1951, in Ames. The couple lived in Jordan, Ames, Nevada and Gilbert, where she was a cook for the Gilbert Schools. They later moved to Boone. She was a homemaker and in earlier years, she enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and dancing with her husband. She later enjoyed watching TV and dining out with Carrol.

She is survived by her husband, Carrol, of Boone; two sons, Rick Campbell and wife Shelly, of Boone, and Steven Campbell, of Gilbert; one brother, Delbert Trickle and wife Janice, of Ames; one sister, Marcia Thompson, of Ames; one grandson, Richard "Ricky" Campbell, of Indianapolis; one granddaughter, Michelle Campbell, of Ames; one great-grandson, Joshua Matthew Norris, of Ames; and two step-granddaughters, Allison Wetzeler, of Ames, and DaNeil Olson, of Boone.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until times of service Monday, June 26, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone.

Memorials may be given to Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.
