Darwin R. Greiner

Darwin R. "Butch" Greiner of Longmont, Co. passed away at his home Thursday, Oct. 8, 2005. He was 58. A memorial service was held in Longmont. Graveside services were held at the Nevada Cemetery June 13.

He was born in State Center, Iowa to John and Berneice (Dannenberg) Greiner. He grew up in Nevada where he attended grade school. He graduated from Westside High in Omaha, Ne in 1965. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

Mr. Greiner moved to Boulder, Co. from Omaha in 1973 and to Longmont in 1986. Since 1987 he worked for Maxtor and was a senior computer engineer. He was a former member of the Boulder Rural Volunteer fire department. He enjoyed fishing, golf, reading and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Greiner is survived by his mother of Mesa, Az.; his son Jared and his wife Bethany of Thornton, Co; a daughter Melissa Greiner of Boulder, Co. and a granddaughter Madeline Greiner.
