Mrs. Martin O'Donnell, one of the oldest and most highly respected ladies of Colo, passed away at her home there yesterday morning and the funeral will be held from the St. Mary's Church tomorrow after which interment will be in St. James Cemetery.

Mrs. O'Donnell, whose maiden name was Mary Tyler, was born at Pitt House Green, Glouster County, England on Oct. 4, 1827. She was baptized in the Church of England by John Simons, Vicor on Oct. 28, 1827. Vicor Simons also married Mr. and Mrs. O'Donnell according to the rites and ceremony of the Church of England. To this union were born seven children.

In November 1861 the moved from England to Cedar County, Iowa where they lived for 4 years. In 1865 they moved to California and in 1868 they moved to Colo. In 1876, she became a member of the Catholic Church of which she was a most devout member all the remainder of her life. She leaves her husband, four children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and three great-grandchildren to mourn their loss.
