Donald Junior Adams, 66, of 2021 E. 39th Court died of lung cancer Friday at Hospice Kavanagh House in West Des Moines. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Adams was born in North English and moved to Des Moines in the 1940s. He was a retired assembly worker with Deere & Co. He was a member of Local 450 of the United Auto Workers Union.

Survivors include his wife, Carole; two daughters, terry Schuling of Des Moines, and Sheryl Erdman of CLive; a son, Dale of Indianola; two step-daughters, Billie Murphy of Borger, Texas, and Joanne Burton of Dayton, Texas; two stepsons, Troy Burton adn Bruce Ehase, both of Mount Belvieu, Texas; eight brothers, Richard of Maxwell, Raymond and Jerry, both of Colo, Dennis of Haddock, Ga., Ronnie of New London, Jim of Marshalltown, Robert of New Braunfels, Texas, and John of Macon, Ga.; four sisters, Beverly Wheeler of Radcliffe, Bonnie Carico and Margie Thrap, both of Des Moines, adn Sue Garcia of Washington, Ill.; six grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
