THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, April 8, 2006.

Jeannette Mae Daehler, 69, of Nevada died Friday, April 7, at her daughter's home in Carlisle surrounded by loving family and friends. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada with the Rev. David R. Burling officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Jeannette was born on Feb. 19, 1937, in Chadwick, Ill., to Myron and Margaret (Hartman) Friederich. She was a 1955 graduate of Chadwick High School. She also graduated from Iowa State University and from medical technician school. She married Ronald Eugene Daehler Aug. 16, 1958, in Chadwick, Ill. She was the chief medical technician at Boone County Hospital prior to being an instructor at DMACC. She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Altrusa International, Beta Sigma Phi, summer band and B.P.W. She enjoyed quilting and volunteered at Terrace Hill First Lady Team, Hospice and the Iowa State Fair. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting activities and being with her great granddaughter.

She is survived by one daughter, DeeAnn Davidson (Sam) of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Davidson (Lacy) and Abigail Davidson; one great granddaughter, Lexxi Davidson; her mother, Margaret Friederich of Chadwick, Ill.; one brother, Kenneth Friederich (Rose) of Savanna, Ill.; and one sister, Shirley Isenhart (Norm) of Chadwick, Ill.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her father, her husband Ron on Sept. 25, 1992, a brother Larry Friederich in 1972, and an infant daughter, Karen Sue in 1962.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday, April 10, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa or Memorial Lutheran Church.

Chet Ryan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
