THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, April 5, 2006.

Steven John Hall was born Aug. 16, 1989, in Ames and died March 25 in a car accident. Funeral services were March 30 at Scranton Church of Christ. Burial was in Scranton Township Cemetery.

Steven John Hall lived in Nevada and moved to Aurora, Colo., at age three. His family moved to Scranton in 2005. He was a student at the Jefferson-Scranton Alternative School. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, listening to music, watching movies and playing video games, fishing, working on his car and helping others with mechanical issues that only Steven could resolve. His dream was to own his own repair garage or be part of a NASCAR pit crew.

Those left to honor Steven's memory include his parents Lisa (Gustoff) and Scott Dankel of Scranton, and Matt and Deanne Hall of Harcourt; two brothers, Alex and Adam Dankel of Scranton; one step-brother and one step-sister Jacob and Rebecca Stewart of Harcourt; his grandparents Barb and Kenny Hilts of Scranton, Becky Irish of Ames, John and Jane Hall of Harcourt; great-grandparents Eva Mae Gustoff of Scranton, Rhoda Dankel of Hubbard, Pearl Peterson of Lanyon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
