THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday December 1, 1949, page 2, column 1. “Mr. and Mrs. C. A. De Reus attended the funeral of his uncle, Arie De Reus, 88, at Newton Wednesday afternoon. He was a rural carrier out of Newton for 21 years. Services were held at the Lutheran church in Newton and burial in Palo Alta cemetery south of Newton.”
