SHROCK, POLLY MISS (1821-1901)
THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 10, 1901, page 7. “Aunt Polly shrck, an aged maiden lady, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wm. Enfield, Tuesday, January 8th. Miss Shrock has made her home with the Enfield family for several months past, having formerly resided with relatives at Waterloo, Iowa. Though having been an invalid for may years, she has been a patient sufferer. The funeral was held Wednesday from the Brethren church south of town, attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Two nephews, Jacob Lichty and Harve Shrock, both from Waterloo, were the only relatives from distant parts able to be present. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.”
