THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, February 8, 2006.

Dennis Davis, 52, of Maxwell, died Saturday, Feb. 4, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in Ohio Cemetery near Ladora.

Dennis was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Williamsburg, the son of Marvin and Kathryn (Shull) Davis. He served in the U.S. Army. He was married Janet Beyer May 26, 1982, in Williamsburg. He was a driver for Carquest in Ankeny. He enjoyed motorcycles and cycling and was a member of the Suzuki Cavalcade Club.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, of Maxwell; two daughters: Melissa Sholtus of Ladora and Jennifer Davis of Maxwell; his parents, Marvin and Kathryn Davis of Ladora; one sister, Debra McMann of Marengo; and his maternal grandmother, Rose Shull of Marengo.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers and grandmother.

Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.

Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell is in charge of arrangements.
