Edward Anderson, 67, of Nevada died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services are pending with Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

Edward Junior Anderson, 67, of Nevada, died Saturday, Dec. 31, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Myron Herzberg officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Ed was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Nevada, to Edward S. and Inger H. (Thorsbakken) Anderson. He was a 1957 graduate of Nevada High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Karen Hapes Aug. 15, 1965, in Nevada. He was a master printer for Graphic Forms before he retired. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church. Ed enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and regular hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Anderson of Nevada; two sons, Scott (Sara) Anderson of Davenport and Mark (Carrie) Anderson of Waukee; one brother, Richard Anderson of Sheldahl; one sister, Marilyn Hill of Radcliffe; and two grandchildren, Logan and Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be used at its discretion.
