Word has been received of the death of Ames resident, Russell A. Warren. Mr. Warren, 68, 3308 South Duff Avenue, Ames, IA, died in Gardens, CA, Dec 24, 1978, while visiting relatives.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec 29, 1978 from Stevens Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Donald Forbes will officiate, with burial in the Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Warren was born Jan 30, 1910, in Nevada, IA, to Oscar and Winnie (Sills) Warren. He married Leona Smith Aug 18, 1928, in Ames, IA. He was associated with Warren Construction until his retirement. Mr. Warren was a member of Calvary United Methodist.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Elmer of Redlands, CA, one daughter, Beverly Butler of Pryor Lake, MN; one brother, Lloyd "Bud" Warren of 3801 Emerald; three sisters, Garnet Knutson of 1432 Douglas Avenue, Ames, IA, and Neva Langford and Eva Cadman, both of Gardens, CA; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one grandson.

Friends may call at Stevens Memorial Chapel Thursday from 3-9 p.m.
