Ralph (Ken) Butler, 48, Manchester, MO, formerly of Ames, IA, died July 2, 1980, at Kirkwood, MO. Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 1980 from Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev Gary Putnam, Collegiate United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens.

Butler was born Oct 20, 1931, at Nevada, IA, to Ralph M. and Ilo (Nelson) Butler. He graduated from McCallsburg and served in the Army during the Korean War. On Sep 1, 1950, he married Beverly Warren in Ames, IA. A life-long resident of Story County, he had been a salesman for Dunlap Motors for 12 years. He was a member of American Legion and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was national sales manager of Sherwood Industries of St. Louis.

Survivors include his parents, Mr and Mrs Ralph M. Butler, 112 E. 11th St, Nevada, IA; his wife; a son, Rick of Ames, IA; a daughter, Stacy of Loveland, CO; a brother, Vincent of Ames, IA; and a sister, Phyllis Harshbarger of Ames, IA.

He was preceded in death by an infant son.

Arcadia Lodge will conduct Masonic grave side services and Mason are asked to meet at the Masonic Temple at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Visitation will be Friday, July 4, 1980, 6-9 p.m. at Stevens Memorial
Chapel.
