OBITUARY Ames Daily Tribune July 10, 1950 Rites Here for Mother of Ames Man
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Anna M. LaVelle, 79, of LeMars, Ia., mother of T.E.LaVelle of Ames. She died Saturday morning at LeMars where services were held this morning. The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o’clock in the Adams Chapel. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Born August 26, 1870 at Emmington, Ill., she had lived at Boone, Chicago and Sioux City before moving to LeMars 15 years ago. She was a member of St. James Catholic church there. She was married to Peter A LaVelle, who preceded her in death at Campus, Ill. Survivors include three sons, Rev. L.J. LaVelle of LeMars, T.E. LaVelle of Ames, and V.A. LaVelle of Fort Dodge; a daughter Mrs. Lorena Judge of Boone; four brothers Thomas and Allen Kennedy both of Chicago, Harry E Kennedy of Lansing, Mich., and John Kennedy of Long Beach, Calif., and one sister, Sister Mary Leonidas of St. Marys of the (?
