Roland, July 23--The body of Mrs. E. H. Mathison, 65, who died Monday, July 21, at Montebello, Cal., will arrive in Roland Thursday evening funeral rites and burial will be on Friday.

There will be a prayer service at the Erickson funeral home at 1:30, followed by the funeral at Bergen's Lutheran church of which she was a lifelong member, at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery, all services being in charge of Rev. M. O. Sumstad.

She was a native of Howard township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Sampson, born here in September, 1875.

She leaves besides her husband, five children. The oldest child passed away, but the survivors are Mrs. Ceola Helland of Whittier, Cal., Mrs. Adella Rogness of Ruthven, Ia., Miss Harriet Mathison of Montebello, Cal., and the sons, Carrol and Askel, of Chicago.

Living in or near Roland as a girl she was married to E. H. Mathison July 20, 1897 and the family home continued in Roland most of the time until they went to California four years ago. She leaves besides her husband and five children, one brother, John Sampson of Roland.

Her illness was of brief duration and the news of her death came to relatives and friends here as a shock.
