Funeral Rites for Former Zearing Man
Special to the Journal.
Zearing, July 5--Funeral rites will be held at the Evangelical church here Sunday afternoon at 2:30 for Russel T. Womeldorf, 38, former Zearing man, but more recently of Parma, Idaho, who died Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Mercy hospital, Des Moines, where he had submitted to an operation for brain tumor, from which he had been suffering a month.Rev. R. E. Kurney will be in charge of the services, including the burial in the Zearing cemetery.
The deceased, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Womeldorf of Zearing, was born at Parma, Idaho, August 8, 1903. He came to Iowa a child of 8 years when the family located at Zearing. Educated in the Zearing schools, later he went to Milwaukee and it was there that he was married to Marie Wendell March 19, 1929.
He leaves besides his wife and parents, sons David Lee, 10, Bobby, 6, and Ronnie, 20 months and daughter, Jeanie, 8.
He also leaves 4 brothers, Estol of Little Rock, Ark., Burnell of Momgo, Lee of Toledo and Curtis at home here in Zearing and one sister, Mrs. Lyle D. Black of Des Moines.
