Funeral Services for Thompson Child

McCallsburg, April 26--Funeral services for little Jolaine Terry Thompson who was born April 14, 1940 and passed away Thursday eve, April 17, 1941, with pneumonia following the measles were held Sunday afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Thompson with Rev. Sumstad of Roland in charge.The music was furnished by Kenton Butler who sang "I'll Be a Sunbeam for Him" and Mrs. F. E. Nail and Mrs. B. A. Imsland, who sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."
The flowers were taken care of by Mrs. B. M. Bergland and Mrs. Andy Thompson. Pallbearers were Joan Thompson of Roland, Joyce Chelsvig of State Center, Audra Ose and Charline Morris. Burial was made in the Warren township cemetery.
Those in attendance from out of town were Selmer Olson of Des Moines, H. C. Olson and Helen of Thompson, O. C. Olson of Glenville, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Oren Meyer and children of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Harrendorf, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Benard and Joyce Chelsvig of State Center, Mrs. Oscar Chelsbig, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Thompson and Joan, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thompson, Clarence Wicks, Mrs. Marie Helland and James of Roland, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brekke and Marjorie of Zearing, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Bergland of Story City.
