Former Nevada Woman Laid to Rest at Cambridge
Funeral services for Lola May Rounds, 34, who died at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames Saturday following an illness of two weeks, were held at the Adams Funeral chapel in Ames Tuesday afternoon with Rev. J. O. Simon of Memorial Lutheran church, Nevada in charge. The body was taken to Cambridge for burial.
Lola May Rounds was a daughter of Evor and Minnie Rounds. She was born near Nevada, Ia., in Mary Greeley hospital, Ames Feb. 15, 1941. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Minnie Rounds of Nevada, and one sister, Mrs. Florence Gilreath, and a nephew, Willard Gilreath, both of Ames. She also leaves several aunts and uncles.
Miss Rounds was graduated from the Cambridge high school. She had one year in college in Des Moines. Following this she was employed in the office of Dr. Kennedy, a dentist in Des Moines for two years, as office attendant and dentist assistant.
Miss Rounds came from a family that has been life-long Lutherans and it was to this faith she held through her entire life.
