Funeral Services for Rush King

Special to the Journal:
Slater, Nov. 29--Funeral services for Rush King of Lavina, Mont. were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Riis funeral home. The services were in charge of Rev. F. L. Shephard of the United Brethren church at Ankeny.

Beautiful floral offerings surrounded the casket.

Homer Lewis sang a solo "The Old Rugged Cross" and the Riis quartette sang "Have Thine Own Way Lord." Burial was made in the Cambridge cemetery.

Rush King was born June 21, 1872, at Cambridge, Ia., and died Nov. 23, 1940, at Lavina, Mont., at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 2 days. He was married to Miss Lizzie McGurky, Oct. 11, 1891.

He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad company and for the past 29 years has been stationed at Lavina, Mont. He is survived by a devoted wife, two brothers, Clarence King of Omaha and Chester King of Miles, Ia., one sister, Mrs. Minnie Warner of Cambridge. All were present at funeral with the exception of Clarence of Omaha.

Mr. and Mrs. Pulis and Miss Maxine King of Omaha were among those from a distance who were present.
