S. W. Netterfield Funeral Tuesday
Cambridge, July 8--Samuel Warren Netterfield, son of Benjamin and Miami Netterfield, was born one mile east of Cambridge, Sept. 6, 1869, and died at the same place Sunday, June 30, 1940 at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 24 days.
On August 11, 1892, he was married to Mary McCollister and to this union five children were born, four of whom preceded him in death, Clara Bell died at the age of 18, Florence Phoebe died in infancy, Ben died in 1918 and Harry died in 1924.
He had belonged to several organizations but at the time of his death he only held membership in the Modern Woodmen.
All his life he has lived in or near Cambridge and he will be missed by many loved ones and friends.
Surviving are his wife, a sister Mrs. Emma Backous, a daughter Mrs. Tillie Ruble; six grandchildren, Mabel Mitchell, Millas Smithhart, Gladys Reese, Ethel May Smithhart, Gladys and Phoebe Ruble; three great grandchildren, Helen, Mary and Rosemary Mitchell.
Funeral services were at the Cambridge U. B. church Tuesday afternoon, July 2, with Rev. O. O. Hobson in charge and the interment was in the Cambridge cemetery.
