Funeral Services Here Wednesday for Ada Hunt-Knoll
Funeral services for Mrs. Alfred Knoll, 74, were held at Morfoot's funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Loose of the local Methodist church in charge. Mrs. C. L. Gifford furnished the music. Interment was in the Nevada cemetery beside her husband. Pall bearers were G. H. Kellogg, Craylon Johnson, Oscar Hall and Arthur Johnson.
Ada Hunt was born at Nevada Feb. 15, 1865, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Hunt. She died at the home of her son John at Lamont, Washington, Saturday, Dec. 2, 1939, after a year's illness.
She spent her girlhood at Nevada and Clyde. She was a teacher in the rural schools of Jasper and Story counties and at Collins nearly 20 years.
She was united in marriage to Rev. Alfred Knoll at Collins, on Aug. 29, 1901. They held pastorates at Leon, Blockton, Fontanelle, Davis City and in Oklahoma and New Mexico.
Rev. Knoll died at Nevada on Oct. 2, 1921. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Knoll, her son John and his wife and baby Lorena, have been in the west in Washington and Montana most of the time.
She was a loyal member of the Methodist church from girlhood. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death.
