Mrs. Baldus DIED YESTERDAY
Mrs. T. W. Baldus, 85, for 65 years a resident of Lafayette township and Ames, died at her home in Ames at 7:30 Wednesday morning. She had been ill for the past week with a heart ailment.
Born in Wisconsin Nov. 28, 1856, she was married to T. W. Baldus in November, 1875. The family resided on a farm in Lafayette township for 50 years before retiring to Ames about 20 years ago. Mr. Baldus died in April, 1930.
Surviving are three son, Bert of Story City, Dr. E. L. of Kimball, Minn., and Clarence of Kenyon, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Balus Howland and Miss Ida Baldus of Ames; a brother, Herman Jacob of Fergus Falls, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Lena Pheteplace of Moneta.
The funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Adams Funeral home at Ames.
