THOMAS PETER JACOBS
Thomas Peter Jacobs, 71, was born in Story City Oct. 12, 1870, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Jacobs. He died at Bancroft Oct. 12*, following a period of declining health.
Funeral services were held in the Baptist church of Bancroft, the pastor of the same officiating. The Masonic lodge, of which he was a member, had charge of the funeral. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet, in which the pastor took part.
Mr. Jacob was a carpenter by trade, working at it for many years. He is survive by two sons, Ira and Theodore of Waterloo, and a stepson, Roy and stepdaughter Hazel of Chicago. Two half brothers and two half sisters also survive, namely, E. H. Mathison of California, C. J. Mathison of Ruthven, Mrs. Sam Nelson of Vergas, Minn., and Mrs. S. J. Nessa of this place. His wife preceded him in death several years ago, since when he lived alone in Bancroft.
