Death of Blanche Yerger-Arnold.

Mrs. Blanche Yerger-Arnold, daughter of Rev. J. F. and Mrs. Ann Yerger, was born at Colo, Story County, Iowa, in September 1872, and died in Des Moines, March 24, 1896, aged 23 years and 6 months, the cause of her death being quick consumption.

Mrs. Arnold had only been sick nine weeks when the death angel came to relieve her suffering and to bear her spirit home. She died at the home of her father, surrounded by loving friends. She was a Christian woman, and a short time before she died the beautiful gates were set ajar and she was permitted to catch a glimpse of her angel mother and her sister and of the Savior himself. Death to her then was only the bidding adieu to loved friends here for a short time, and a glad reunion with loved ones on the shores of eternity. The remains were brought to Story City, and after funeral services in the Evangelical church, conducted by Rev. J. Wirth, were laid tenderly to rest in the local cemetery by the side of her mother who died six years ago. The church was decorated with beautiful flowers.

Mrs. Arnold was married about three years ago and leaves a seventeen-months old babe. This little one is dangerously ill and cannot live. A husband, father, three sisters and a brother are left to mourn.
