Eleanor Froehle, 83, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Timberland Village in Story City. Eleanor will be cremated and a memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Ankeny Funeral Home.

She was born to Walter Ellsworth Adams and Elva Miller Borop on February 3, 1929 in Perry, Iowa. Eleanor retired from the US Post Office and she loved doing genealogy research.

Survivors include her six children, Tom Froehle (Kathy Schuett), Ed (Peggy) Froehle, June Froehle, Gary Froehle, Nancy (Paul) Wissink, Margie (Rick) Knoll; thirteen grandchildren, Kim (Roger), Tracy, Dustin (Tammy), Karamee (Nick), Kayla (Joseph), Tim, Mary, Sara (Marshall), Kris, Jenna, Lindsay, Jackie (Brad), Carly; sister, Shirley Walker; brother, David Adams; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Froehle.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Iowa Association of the Deaf or Timberland Village.
