ANDREW HERMANSON DIED LAST THURSDAY

Andrew Hermanson [sic], 81, of Ruthven passed away Thursday morning at the Emmetsburg hospital, where he had been taken for treatment a few days precious. Deceased is survived by his wife whose maiden name was Christina Larson*, and by eight children: Albert, Peter, Theodore and William of Ruthven, Mrs. James Hansen of Emmetsburg, Mrs. Chas. Henningsen of Emmetsburg, Mrs. J. W. Knutsen of Lost Island, and Mrs. Anna Arnette [sic] of Cedar Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Hermanson had been residents of Ruthven for 25 years. The first 25 year of the their marriage was spent in Lost Island. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Hermanson was raised in the Story City community, being a son of the late Peter Hermanson. Two of his brothers, Walter and Nels, live here. He attended the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Frandson, here last spring.
