Mrs. Ingeborg Raymond Died in Minnesota
Mrs. Eric Raymond, mother of Hans E. Raymond and Mrs. Gabriel Gabrielson, succumbed Friday evening, Sept. 2, at the home of her daughter at Luverne, Minn. Her death was due to cancer, and followed an illness of about five weeks.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. O. Mundahl, Sept. 6th, at 1:30 o'clock from the Gabrielson home and at 2 o'clock from Our Savior's Lutheran church, interment being made in Maplewood cemetery. The Rock county male chorus, directed by Prof. D. James of Sioux Falls, S. D., rendered two selections. Mrs. Raymond's favorite hymn, "Den Store Hvide Flok," was sung by Miss Ragnhild Gabrielson.
Ingeborf Haaland was born December 25, 1854, at Etne, Norway, where she resided for about 45 years. There she was united in marriage to Mr. Eric Raymond in 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond came to this country in 1900, first locating in Story county, Iowa. They moved to Rock county, Minn., in 1913, and had resided there since. Mr. Raymond preceded her in death.
Besides the son and daughter above mentioned, the deceased is survived by one sister and three brothers, all residing in Norway, and seven grandchildren.
Of a kindly, charitable disposition, Mrs. Raymond had endeared herself to a large circle of acquaintances during her residence in Rock county.
